The Centre for Water Informatics and Technology at LUMS is organising a stakeholder workshop "Nexus Summit: Harmonizing Energy, Water, and Agriculture Systems for a Low Emissions Future".
The workshop is being organised at a critical junction in Pakistan's national discourse in the climate change arena. The challenges posed by climate change to achieving a sustainable low-emission future call for a new generation of scientific modeling frameworks to support the formulation of post-2030 mid-century mitigation strategies.
This workshop will engage academics, researchers, policymakers, and relevant stakeholders across Pakistan to enhance national-level modeling capacity. The workshop's scope includes integrated multi-sectoral modeling frameworks, scenario building, and effective engagement of stakeholders in the model development and output analysis.
