The NCRA-Agriculture Robotics Laboratory (NARL) at LUMS is a part of a consortia of 11 labs and 13 universities across Pakistan that constitute the National Centre for Robotics and Automation based at NUST College of E&ME. NARL is a collaborative effort by Dr. Abubakr (Principal Investigator), Dr. Ahmad Kamal Nasir (Co-PI) from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Dr. Mian Muhammad Awais (Co-PI) and Dr. Murtaza Taj (Co-PI) from the Department of Computer Science at LUMS. With a total funding of PKR 100.888 million the lab is dedicated to realizing the potential of agriculture robotics, precision agriculture and IoT technology in improving water efficiency, crop monitoring and production and reducing the environmental footprint of agricultural and forestry activities.
