WIT–GCISC Research Exchange Meeting on Energy and Agricultural Modelling

On December 10, 2025, a meeting was held between the Centre for Water Informatics and Technology (WIT), LUMS, and the Global Climate Change Impact Studies Centre (GCISC), Islamabad. The meeting facilitated an exchange on ongoing research and modelling work in the energy and agriculture sectors.

Key discussions focused on energy and crop modelling activities, agricultural vulnerabilities and risk assessments, and an introduction to the Food, Agriculture, Biodiversity, Land-Use, and Energy (FABLE) Consortium. The session highlighted the use of the FABLE framework and its relevance for integrated climate policy analysis. This engagement forms part of the ongoing collaboration between WIT and GCISC to share data and resources for integrated assessments. The meeting concluded with deliberations on potential areas for future collaboration.
