WIT faculty wins Climate and Cryosphere (CliC) Fellowship 2021
Dr. Jawairia Ashfaq Ahmad of the Centre for Water Informatics and Technology (WIT) is awarded the 'Climate and Cryosphere (CliC) Fellowship' 2021 for her research activities to be carried in the year 2022.
Dr. Ahmad joined WIT in Fall 2021 as a post-doctorate and an adjunct faculty and is carrying out her research in cryosphere-related projects of the centre. She will focus on strengthening Centre's ongoing work in Swat valley. She is also teaching a course titled ‘Remote sensing of the environment. The goal of the fellowship is to increase the engagement of early career researchers in CliC activities to promote the participation of scientists from the Global South. The fellowship has been awarded with a total amount of 17000 CHF.
