WIT participates in the International Conference on Robotics and Automation in Industry (ICRAI) 2023

The International Conference on Robotics and Automation in Industry (ICRAI) was organized by the National Centre for Robotics and Automation (NCRA) in collaboration with the department of Mechatronics Engineering, UET Peshawar. The event was held from 3-5^th March at UET Peshawar and included a robotics expo along with seminars and research paper presentations. The NCRA-Agrilcultural Robotics Lab (NARL) was represented by Soban Hameed, Usman Nazir, Tallat Mehmood, and Hasan Nawaz, where they showcased the cutting-edge hydrological sensors which were built in-house. 

The Centre's stall received visits from notable organizations such as the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and the Higher Education Commission (HEC), in addition to the enthusiastic interest of students and faculty from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar. Tallat Mehmood and Usman Nazir also presented the Centre's work on autonomous navigation and mapping of water channels using a Micro-Aerial Vehicle (MAV) which showed promising results in both mapping and path planning. The conference provided WIT with a platform to showcase its latest technologies to top research organizations in Pakistan, and to present its pioneering ideas in the field of agriculture robotics.
