Smart AWD Tube for Paddy Fields

Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) is a water-saving technology that farmers can apply to reduce their irrigation water consumption in rice fields without decreasing its yield. In AWD, irrigation water is applied a few days after the disappearance of the ponded water. Hence, the paddy field gets alternately flooded and non-flooded.

Smart AWD tube for paddy fields helps in conveniently implementing the AWD. It generates an alert when water reaches 15 cm below the soil surface, and then irrigation is applied to re-flood the field to a depth of about 5 cm.

Smart AWD ensures reliable water level measurements without dependence on farmer's skills. Using Smart AWD, farmers can save up to 25% in irrigation costs without any yield penalty.

Features

Upto 3-point water level sensing
Upto 3-point water level sensing generates timely alert to farmer on when to irrigate the rice field.

Telemetry
LoRa powered telemetry allows multiple sensors in large fields to be monitored by a mobile app.

Weather Proof Enclosure
IP67 rated enclosure that protects from water and dust ingress thus allowing care free application in all weather conditions.

Long Battery Life
Coupled with efficient power management, the use of high energy density batteries ensures there is enough juice inside to ensure a year-long operation without human intervention.
